Carmen Electra has added a super sexy push-up bra under her black lace corset. This combination looks great with jeans or with a matching g-string. Now that we have finally completed our little online boutique, Comrotica.com, we would like to formally introduce ourselves and what makes us unique. There are so many places to shop online for corsets, lingerie and apparel. Many of online stores are fraught with product and it seems their only mission is to put as many products up as possible and sell as many as they can. Obviously, we are also looking to make a profit but the motive goes deeper than what you can pull out of your pocket.

Personally, I have never been one to purchase and model any kind of lingerie for myself. In college, I did a lot of theater work onstage and behind the scenes. I loved being dressed in character simply because it was a fun way to escape my everyday self and be something or someone entirely different. To "fit" into a character profile, I would wear things that I would never wear as myself.

Even though I never excelled in costume design, I would take any opportunity to be involved in researching and collecting the costumes for our college and community theater. The whole historical aspect of costume and period clothing design was absolutely fascinating. Unlike today, women of average proportion and sized were seen as beautiful and the tiny women we see in Vogue and other similar magazines were not. Look at some of the paintings of Peter Paul Reubens, Pierre-Auguste Renoir or Rachel Deacon, even Pablo Picasso...depictions of "real" beautiful women.

Not to say that we don't cater to smaller women, our Comrotica Girl Dixiplicity it tiny and looks great in a lot of our product but there are some items that look just extraordinary on a more average sized girl.

We are very particular about the products that we buy and take great care in choosing the models we have wear them. There are a few pieces that we have received that just don't meet either our specific look or quality that we just do not display in our store. Overall, we are very particular about most anything we do with Comrotica.

We have picked out a very small but quality selection of retro, rockabilly, pin-up inspired dresses that look fantastic on ANY body shape. We have a couple more dress designs in production and hope to get them here very soon.

In our bedroom, we are always looking for new ways to really get the blood pumping and bodies sweating. After doing some research and sharing a few personal tips of our own, we have comprised a pretty sexy list of ideas to feel up and try on.

1. Sexy Damsel in Distress
What You'll Need:
- Binding - rope, chain, pantyhose, tape or handcuffs for hand, leg and feet Binding
- Gag - handkerchief, clean sock, tape, torn up bedsheets, etc.
- Sexy Attire - sexy lingerie, innocent white cotton panties and bra, birthday suit, torn up clothing, panties, pantyhose, stockings, slip, nightgown, babydoll...get creative
- Believable Setting - closet, mattress (just strip your bed), tied to chair, etc.
- Note on door with hint unless you have some time on your hands or are comfortable being bound and gagged for a while ;), trail of clothing to your location, etc.

Instructions:
1. Send your lover an email or instant message at the end of the work day saying, "1 Hour or the Girl Gets It", or something suggesting you are being held captive and in desperate need of help. I would definitely make sure you discuss the possibility of a "surprise" or "something out of the ordinary" that might happen that day so you don't get an unexpected visit from the police...unless that is your thing.

5. Now you wait....

I suppose that isn't all too terrible because if we didn't have that parental influence, we would have all grown up to be clowns, superheros, princesses and there would be way too many fireman.

But who is to say we should all together abandon the blissfulness and the imagination we had as children. Comrotica encourages you to dress up, play and do something out of YOUR ordinary. Be your own "ism"!

History of the Corset

The term "corset" today means something entirely different than what a corset was in the early 15th century. The early corset, or bodice, was a torso cinching tool to be worn beneath clothing, not as a fashion accessory. The early corsets more resembled an hourglass shaped steel cage than the sexy bedroom accessories we see today.

Needless to say, these corsets were neither fun nor easy to wear. These waist cinching devices are said to have started as early with babies. Infant girls were tightly wrapped with blankets when the bones were still soft and easy to mold into the fashionable hourglass shape. As the babies grew, they graduated from tightly wrapped blankets to small children's corsets. Early corsets were made of durable cotton or linen and had stiff ivory or wooden busks* for rigid support and forming. Young women would wear the corsets for figure training.

Getting in and out of these corsets was almost as difficult as wearing them. Early corsets were worn so snug that the compression on the women's chest caused a tendency to breathlessness, palpitations and faintness but tolerated in the pursuit of the perfect hourglass figure.

Historically, corsets were designed in a time when ladies had maids to dress them, and even a lesser woman would have been laced in by her mother or sisters. Even with todays corsets, we advice putting on garters and stockings first because it will be quite a challenge trying to do this once you are laced in.

* The busk is sewn into the front center of the corset at each edge. Holes are worked through the fabric and the studs are then slid through on the one side and the eyes through the edge of the other side.

Corsets Today

Since then the corset has undergone a metamorphosis and has emerged as a fashion statement. Gone are the times when corsets were uncomfortably tight and painful. Corsets have come to become an intimate and erotic lingerie item. It has also been reinvented to be worn as corset top over skirts and pants Corsets are designed to tuck in the waist and tighten the tummy. You can pick up functional smooth corsets for a slimming effect or opt for erotic leather and lace creations that are designed to set the senses on fire. The corsets of today are lighter and made of elastic material to hold up stockings as well. A simple corset sans trimmings can be worn under your dress for a trimmer figure.

You can pick a corset off the shelf or have one custom-made. This undergarment is often hooked and laced to attach garters. You can give your breasts a lift and tuck in the tummy with the right corset. Correct measurement is the key to a well-fitting corset. Relax and breathe comfortably when measuring for a corset. Measure your ribs, waist and hips. Ensure that your stomach does not bulge out from the bottom. The corset must be comfortable and you must be able to lace it tighter if you so desire.

Corsets have made a huge comeback as a fashionable garment. Corset dresses and corset tops are not corsets in the real sense of the term. They still cinch and push up but are not as constrictive. They can be worn with jeans, over dresses as a bodice or teamed with a formal skirt for a curvy look.

One afternoon over a taco and a Margarita, a friend and I were sharing fond memories of childhood and the great fun we had once had. Memories of late night games of "kick the can", back yard ball, swimming in the neighbors pool, collecting baseball cards from the local trolling 5-O's, etc. Life was easier and responsibilities small.

For me, a stressful event might be a night of babysitting my 2 younger brothers or maybe finding a way to get myself and 2 younger brothers back in the house while arguing over whom had the house key last. Even though I still enjoyed the triumphant beat-down of my brothers after shimmying up our 2 story deck to break entry of a second story window only to remember that I had forgotten that I had hidden the key in the bushes as to keep my brothers out of the house while I roamed the neighborhood. Nonetheless, there always seemed to be nightly happy endings.

Looking back, we all remember being pretty bad ass in each of our own little ways and for the most part, unstoppable. Only the future was ahead of us and things of the past just seemed like obstacles. For instance, my brother had a big issue with gravity. Once he had on those dingy and tattered Superman PJ's, he was no longer member of the human race. That tiny synthetic red satin cape had powers beyond any of our imagination. We would find him heaped on the ground in various places and positions following multiple death-defying leaps to flight. So fortuantely for my mom, there were never any broken bones but for my brother, it was just another promise of flight in the future.

So, Comrotica....what does all of this have to do with the idea of Comrotica. Simply put, men are suckers for Superheros and women are in contant pursuit of their hero. Well okay, that might be part of it.

There are two categories of holidays, holidays for children to enjoy and holidays for children to enjoy as adults. Sure, Christmas is great because we get to give and get stuff. Thanksgiving is gratifying because we are in a constant rotation of eat and sleep. For children, St. Patrick's day is for boys to pinch the girls they like and for girls to squeal and pout at the boys they like for pinching us. St. Patrick's day for adults is pretty much the same, just ad booze and green vomit.

So what is left? Valentines day? Absolutely not, won't even talk about Valentines Day. Why don't I give you a hint. Wearing absolutely next to NOTHING in public and not getting picked up for prostitution. Yes, that's it. Halloween. Wouldn't it be just perfect to go out every day as your favorite Superhero or Sexy Princess (so maybe Princess were never intended to be "sexy" but once us real life girls get on a tiara and some glass slippers....) and collect some tricks or treats without fear of being arrested? Or mabye even getting stripped down and being tied up vaudeville style to some railroad tracks (or bed posts) while waiting helplessly for your hero to arrive.

Whenever Adults are given an excuse to be a kid again, they go absolutely nuts. Their inhibitions disintegrate, their confidence is boosted and they feel like they can climb walls and fly off bunk beds. Oh and ladies, go ahead and pick up a hot little Supergirl or Catwoman costume, some red fishnet stockings, thigh high boots and mabye even a whip and see what happens. You might just be invited to do some joint bunk bed jumping that involves just staying on the top.....bunk!

In short, Comrotica is a combination of Comic and Erotic. A great way to play but exclusively for Adults.
